Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Impeccable experience start to finish, cozy atmosphere. Excellent service, cocktails are really good. We started with the squash salad, which was incredible. Then the tuna tostadas, which were also very good. We ended with the black cod and a side of rice. The rice was so flavorful, I could eat it every day. The cod was silky, the flavor a bit underwhelming on that dish, but still decision. It was $150 for two of us, so definitely a treat and totally worth it"
"Have been in multiple times and am always impressed. Delicious food. Thoughtfully sourced and curated menu. Great service. Servers are attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Favorite dishes I’ve had are the tuna tostadas, Caesar salad, and the cochinita pibil. But everything I’ve had here is great."
"I thought I wrote a review when I visited this place in March 2025. It stays on my mind so much, I'm here almost a year later to finally leave a review. THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My husband took me here for a birthday dinner. This place has a James Beard Award winning chef who cooked meals so delicious, I licked the plate at one point. EVERYTHING we tried was delicious. The orange wine was also yummy. The staff was courteous and the ambiance is warm and cozy. I hope to one day visit again."
"Pancita is a special place. Every dish is exquisite. So well prepared, so many flavors, colors, textures. The menu is always changing. They use excellent ingredients and make all the components from scratch - perfect spicy salsas, heirloom corn masa for the best tortillas, syrups for excellent cocktails. It’s a special occasion to eat here. I’ve been a fan since they were doing pop-ups around the city and they have only gotten more creative since getting a permanent location. I love the small plates even more than the mains but you really can’t go wrong. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable and happy to chat. I am shocked at how few reviews it has - and at the risk of it being even harder to get in, I have to sing their praises. They do book up so reservations recommended but the bar is first come first serve seating."
"Excellent chef's recreation of authentic Mexican food. The chicken in mole poblano and the pork chop were amazing but everything was delicious."
"Pancita was a breath of fresh air. We can't remember the last time we had a meal this good in Seattle. The atmosphere and ambiance was so warm and cozy, well lit and just so homey all around 10/10. The service was also so so lovely. The food was absolutely stunning. Beautiful, thoughtful food with heart that delivered flavor and balance with every dish. Something this city could use more of. Everything we had was phenomenal and was expertly guided by our server. Highly recommend the Mezcal Tamarind Sour too! We are already trying to find an excuse to comeback and try more. Don't hesitate to make your rezzy. To the Pancita crew, THANK YOU for all that you do and PLEASE keep doing it!"
"Food so amazing we made a reservation for the next week right after we left! It’s now the mist show spot for all out of our town guests and loved ones we want to treat with an incredible meal! Our whole table was buzzing over every dish!"
"Food 5/5 Vibe 5/5 Service 3.5/5 This is most amazing Mexican spot in Seattle! For truly authentic Mexican Oaxacan influenced food. We loved everything we ordered but especially raved about the brisket tacos afterwards. I normally don’t love brisket this much but the spice, bite sized pieces of caramelized meat, cilantro, and spicy salsa stole the show! Amazing. 3.5 for the service because drinks took forever and our server seemed uninterested. It was fine, not bad, just not great."
